Steve is a quantum security leader and futurist with over 20 years of experience in the security field and a CISA credential. He is founder and Chief Information Security Officer at Blackhills Quantum Computing USA LLC (BQCU), a company that offers quantum safe and secure private cloud and data centre solutions, quantum governance and physical security assessments.

He is also the Chief Executive Officer at Blackhills Quantum Computing and Marketing BV (BQCM), a company that provides hardware and software for quantum security applications, AI and facial recognition solutions, next generation firewalls, ransomware protection, EDR and antivirus, IP cameras, fences, domotics, and online marketing. 

Enabling digital transformation towards quantum security, using a hybrid and crypto agile approach that leverages the latest technologies and best practices to ensure ultra privacy and compliance for customers across various industries and regions. 

Johanna Sepúlveda received her M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering – Microelectronics by the University of São Paulo, Brazil. She was a Senior Researcher in the area of security and emerging technologies at the University of South Brittany (France), INRIA (France) and at the Technical University of Munich (Germany). Currently she holds a position as the Airbus Senior Expert on Quantum-Secure Technologies and Technical Domain Manager for Quantum Technologies in all Airbus Defence and Space, being Chief Engineer of different European quantum initiatives such as the European Quantum Communication Infrastructure (EuroQCI).

Also she is the vice-chair of the Strategic Advisory Board of Quantum Technologies for the European Commission and leader of the Strategic Industry Roadmap at the Quantum Industry Consortium (QuIC). She has more than 15 years of experience in R&T and R&D in the area of security, networked systems, HPC and quantum technologies.

Mark McGuire is a Quantum enabled data scientist at IBM where he provides mentorship to coworkers seeking to enter the field and serves as the quantum computing subject matter expert for his department. He has multiple certificates in quantum computing. He believes that quantum technology is often overcomplicated and is attempting to fix that with his writing and the quantum processor he is designing and building. 

Mark has been working with Qiskit since it’s launch and that early experimentation is what got him excited about the field, it has also proved valuable in his current research. 

Past work has also included work with EPRI on a white paper outlining possible ways to secure the energy grid.
