Christiana Panayi

Senior Research Fellow in Quantum Communications

Christiana Panayi received her M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Leeds, UK in the field of Quantum Technologies and Information Science and specialised in the Quantum Key Distribution field using Quantum Memories. She is currently working as a Senior Research Fellow at the Cyprus University of Technology and European University Cyprus in the field of Satellite Quantum Communications. Since 2018, she has worked in research organisations for the positions of Project Officer and Manager handling EU funded projects. Her research focuses on quantum memories in satellite-based QKD networks with applications in quantum communication. Currently she is working on multiple projects related to the secure communication infrastructure, IRIS2, EU GOVSATCOM for the European Space Agency and the EuroQCI.
